Can-Am Defender XT HD9
The Can-Am defender XT HD9 isn’t just a side-by-side; it’s a statement. Born from the “Texas Edition” legacy, this model transforms the legendary heavy-duty Defender into a silent, comfortable, all-weather cruiser without sacrificing an ounce of towing or payload capability .
Whether you are checking fence lines in a blizzard or cruising the dunes in the summer, the Lone Star CAB wraps you in factory-installed comfort featuring a full HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system and a premium audio experience .
At the heart of the HD9 is the Rotax 976 cc V-twin engine, delivering 65 horsepower and 59 lb-ft of torque . This powerplant is designed for low-end grunt, allowing you to haul heavy loads across rugged terrain without constantly revving the engine. Unlike competitors, the Rotax engine is known for its durability and reduced noise and vibration, making long days on the job or the trail less fatiguing.
The XT trim level is distinguished by its comprehensive protection and convenience features. It comes standard with a 4,500 lb (2,041 kg) winch with a synthetic rope, a full hard roof, an XT front bumper, and a full HMWPE skid plate . This “out-of-the-box” readiness means you don’t have to immediately invest in aftermarket parts to hit the trail safely.
Rider comfort is addressed through the VERSA-PRO bench seat, which features bolstering to keep occupants secure and an adjustable driver’s seat. The cab is designed for long days with tilt steering and a 4.5-inch digital display. Whether you are navigating a job site, hunting deep in the backcountry, or plowing snow, the Defender XT HD9 offers the durability of a utility vehicle with the refinement of a modern off-roader.
